Zenzele Training and Development is a community-based project in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, Western Cape. Our key focus area is vocational skills training, business skills training, mentorship and small business development for the unemployed peolpe, especially youth from Khayelitsha and surrounding areas.<br/><br/>Unemployed continues to be the fundamental crisis in South Africa and Zenzele therfore exist to increase the employment opportunities of disadvantaged South Africans. To date the organization has trained more than 9000 people in woodwork,sewing and welding skills and has assisted these people in either finding emlopyment or becoming self-emlopyed through Zenzele's Business Development Department which provides after care support.<br/><br/>Zenzele currently provides space and material on-site at subsidized costs for a few sucessful trainees in order that they are better able to start their own businesses.
