The Commission Staff Association, popularly know as the Staff Association or CSA, was established in 1997. The need to establish such a trade union was prompted by the desire of founder members to build unity amongst the workers and to secure decent standards of living, social security, and fair conditions of work for workers. It is special positioned as it is an in-house trade union of workers of the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA). We nonetheless believe there is nothing different between workers of the CCMA and other workers.
