They contribute to sustainable development of skills, growth and equity of skills development institutions by aligning their work and resources to the skills needs for effective delivery and implementation.

Training authorities create and manage leanerships, internships (unit based skills programmes) and apprentices. Courses provided have a strong focus on skills transfer to ensure that students get the most out of the training provided. Courses may be done in class full time or through e-learning (Internet learning) which is suitable for those who work and wish to study at the same time. Computer schools offer theory and practical training for practical benefits. Apart from degree programs they also offer basic training for computers. Basic computer training courses and programs are available on line. Training authorities ensure that skills are built through a series of exercises designed to give participants a taste of effective mentoring in both the roles of mentor and mentee.
