PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM

A Public Address system is often referred to as the PA system in short.  It is an electric sound distribution system which comes with a sound amplifier, microphone and loud speakers. It is often used to address large crowds of people to make announcements in places where there are large movements and noise. Common examples of PA systems are megaphones, single microphone and speaker.

Regular users of simple PA systems include churches, schools, event management companies, and even karaoke bars. These systems come with simple equipment like a microphone and speakers which are widely used to make public announcements and speeches in large space locations which could be public, institutional or commercial buildings. An intercom system is a popular PA system which is often installed in many commercial or residential buildings.

Nowadays, PA systems are used for music more than they are used for speech. Accessories include; loud speakers, mixing consoles, one or more microphones, amplifiers as well as a mixer that controls the volume, the tone and balance of instruments and voices. These accessories are frequently used for quality improvement in the reinforcement of sound.

Advanced PA systems have extra accessories that include graphic equalizers, monitor speakers and effects devices. More accessories include protection cases, power conditioners or surge protectors, Gaffers tape to secure things, removable marking tape or pens for marking as well as stands that grip the microphone and speakers.
