Licence Property Brokers

Property brokers are also known as real estate brokers. Most countries require that their property brokers be licensed in order to arrange and negotiate property transactions.

This licence would enable the property brokers to write contracts for the listing and purchasing of homes, commercial properties, and land. Property brokers usually help buyers through the process of purchasing real estate instead of just selling them a property. Hence, licence property brokers usually hire real estate agents to work under them. Brokers can only supervise agents if they are licensed to do so. Licenced property brokers can work for both the buyer and the seller.

Most licence property brokers are part of a larger team that deals with huge properties. These properties can include entire buildings, shopping centres, and other such places. Hence, the licence property broker may sometimes be just one of the many people involved in the property transaction. Other individuals or businesses may include expert evaluators, lawyers, bankers, and other such people. In some countries it is illegal to receive remuneration for services rendered without the proper broker’s licence. In many countries around the world one may need to complete a broker's course in order to become a licensed property broker. The course may focus on a number of subjects, including the legal aspects of property and real estate.

Applicants must pass the course and its subsequent examination before they can qualify as licenced property brokers.
