Libraries

A library is huge collection of books and resource material. A person can borrow fiction or non-fiction books from a library and then return them before or on the due date. There are some books that cannot be removed from the library so you will have to sit at the library and write down the information that you require or you can make photo copies.

Libraries are usually found in schools or they belong to the local municipality. A librarian is the head of the library and controls all the functions and processes in a library. Students use the library to study and gather information for assignments. It is very easy to concentrate on your studies in a library as it is quiet and peaceful.

Borrowed books that are lost or damaged will have to be paid for by the borrower. Books are a source of knowledge and some are very expensive so we have to take good care of books. It is sometimes very difficult to replace a lost book. People that borrow books from a library have to register with the library and will be given a library card that tells you the date that the book must be returned. This card will be stamped by the librarian when the book is returned.
