Simply put, a filtration plant is mainly responsible for the treatment of water to make it safe and reliable for domestic use. At an industrial level, these plants are facilities that normally work under the public works department. The water then goes through sedimentation. Once the sediments have settled, the clear water is then collected. Lastly the water is then filtered in order to remove any remaining sediment. These are basically the processes that happen inside of a filtration plant on a continuous basis.

Water that is used in laboratories and water that is sold in supermarkets can be subjected to further filtration.
