Engineers

A professional engineer is a person who has studied to apply the disciplines of mathematics, physical science, accounting and other technical skills.

This helps engineers to design, develop and create various structures and systems. For most engineers, research is an indispensable component of their work. Research enables engineers not only to define their projects but also enables them to identify all the technical difficulties that may arise. Most engineers work on specialised projects. This may require the engineer to factor in the economic costs and the time constraints for the projects. The information is required to determine, design, and evaluate the merits and pitfalls of their projects. Like many other disciplines, engineers tend to specialise in various fields of engineering. These can be in civil, chemical, computer, polymer, or metallurgical engineering.

Engineers also target an industry they wish to work in, like the motor vehicle industry. Engineers can also form engineering consultancy companies that advise and assist their clients in all engineering disciplines. However all engineers must submit to a code of ethical behaviour, irrespective of the industry they choose to work in.  This means adhering to the rules and regulations of the engineering societies that govern their respective fields. Since engineers are involved in building things, most engineers work with people from other disciplines like builders, architects, auto electricians, and other such people.

The work derived from engineers is usually subject to oversight. This is normally done by other professional and licensed engineers.
