Employers' organisation

There are several employers’ organisations which serve entrepreneurs as well as employees. These organisations strive towards ensuring that companies are compliant. They ensure that companies give their workers the appropriate salary as per legislation. They also ensure that employers allow their workers to work standard hours approximately eight hours a day. They can then pay extra salary for other hours. These organisations also ensure that companies adhere to safety and occupational health measures.

These associations offer a wide range of services. These associations work hand in hand with trade unions. When they are disputes between workers and employers, these companies help settle the matter. For instance they help when workers go for strikes or do go slow at work. They can negotiate with unions on the following matters; salary, working hours and working conditions.  At other times, these companies handle disciplinary cases on behalf of employees. They work with attorneys and evaluate employees’ cases of misconducts. In addition, these organisations have also hired competent attorneys and accountants who can also help and be arbitrators during retrenchment times. They can organise satisfying retrenchment packages which will be given to workers who will be laid off at work.

The good thing about these employers’ organisation is that they protect employers on several cases which a union can bring up.  Their members can be manufacturing firms or service companies.  Their service fee is affordable; employers pay joining fee and small monthly subscriptions as members.
