Electric vehicles

Electric vehicles are cars that use electric current as their main source of energy. These cars do not use fuel (petrol or diesel) for them to move but they use batteries for them to move. Electric cars are very expensive because they are very scarce and also more economic than diesel or petrol powered vehicles.

Electric vehicles have their own garages where they charge just like in fuel filling stations. Electric vehicles are very comfortable and can be found in different types and shapes, for example busses, Lorries, mini-coopers, golfs and many more. One thing people should note about electric vehicles is that the car is designed for shorter distances. They are just luxury cars meant to be used within a town because they are very few stations that provide charging services and people can find themselves stuck in the middle of the bush. All the parts of an electric vehicle are computerised, for example they have electric windows, electric doors among other things.

Electric vehicles are very expensive to maintain and as much as they are few in Africa, there are very few mechanics that knows how to fix them but that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t buy them. The battery used in electric vehicles are also expensive and the moment they faultier the car owner will have to replace with a new one. Advantages of electric vehicles are that they do not produce air pollution like petrol or diesel.
