Die casting machinery

Die casting is a process that has been used in industries for several years. This process is used to make moulds from molten matter such as aluminium and other metals. Specialised machinery is used to make castings. Die casting machines are available in different brands either as manually or electronically operated. Performance may vary with each brand type. The brand associated with better product quality is often steeply priced.

Die casting machinery is classified into two principle types namely the hot chamber and the cold chamber. Each type of machinery handles a certain type of alloy. Hot chamber machines are used primarily for zinc, copper, magnesium, lead and other low melting point alloys that do not readily attack and erode metal pots, cylinders and plungers. On the other hand cold chamber machines are used for alloys such as aluminium and plenty other alloys with high melting points. The injection system of hot chambers varies from that of cold chambers.

Through the use of die casting machinery the manufacture of small parts has become easy. Also toys are now of high quality and exactly mimic the actual product. Mould making is the process that makes it easy for manufacturers to manufacture an array of spare parts. It allows one to make a duplicate of 3D products. Through moulding one is able to make components having a high level of precision. To find out more about die casting machinery, browse our Yellow Pages listings.
