Cowhide

Cowhide refers to the skin of a cow together with the fur before it has undergone any processes. Cowhide is a by-product of the food industry as the animal's skin is removed from the beef that consumers will buy. Cowhide can be used in the manufacturing processes of a variety of products. Cowhide can be used as it is with the hair of the cow in order to make  products or it can undergo a variety of processes including dyeing in order to make it look and feel the way that manufacturers would desire.

Cowhide can be seen in many houses as it is often used to make materials such as rugs and even heavy decorative table cloths. Cowhide is durable and therefore rugs that are made from cowhide can last relatively long although they are being constantly stood on. Cowhide can also be used to make products such as purses and wallets. The cowhide can be dyed to mimic the skin of another creature such as a tiger although this is not common with high quality cowhide.

Cowhide is also a common decorative element in the bedroom. This includes rugs but manufacturers can also use cowhide in the process of making bedding and cushions amongst other decorative elements. Cowhide is a very important material in the textile and clothing designing industry as leather can be made using it.
