Super audio compact discs

Super audio compact discs, abbreviated as SACD, was developed and introduced in the late nineties by Sony and Phillips Electronics. These companies also created and introduced CD’s.

Super audio compact discs are a specific type of compact discs that are burned onto a DVD and used to play high quality music as well as other audio recordings on SADC players. Some super audio compact discs may work on your ordinary CD player as well. These discs are read-only optical discs that provide a higher audio quality than your typical CD’s. The sound of music burned onto these special discs is typically clearer and louder than that of recorded CD’s that you burned from your personal computer.

You can obtain super audio compact disc software, which you can use to burn all your favourite songs onto a DVD. This creates better quality music that will definitely impress your family and friends. There are three types of super audio compact discs available on the market. Hybrid discs only play on SACD equipped music players and CD players. Dual layer discs are not as common and are ideal for storing a large amount of music, but can only be played on SACD players. Single layer discs will also just play on SADC equipped players and not CD players.

Super audio compact discs can also contain additional information such as graphics, text and video clips. Although many alternatives are available, SADC discs are ideal if you are looking for music that is not only clear, but also loud.
