Bonsais

Bonsais are small trees that are usually grown in small containers. These bonsai trees are often referred to as dwarf trees. The growing of bonsais is an ancient Chinese tradition although the Japanese continued this tradition and made it into the hobby that has become popularised in the rest of the world. Chinese and Japanese bonsai trees have subtle differences in their growing practices although the origins of the methods have become less important to modern bonsai tree enthusiasts than the practice itself.

The term bonsai refers to the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese term which was originally penzai. The growing of bonsai trees starts with the preparation of the roots in order to ensure that the trees are able to grow in these conditions. When these bonsai tree shrubs are planted one need to ensure that they are pruned often in order to ensure that the bonsai remains the appropriate size which varies depending on the type of tree and the preference of the owner.

Bonsai trees have become a popular indoor plant used for decorative purposes. Bonsais can also be given as gifts although it is important that the person who is giving this gift also includes instructions with regards to growing bonsais and may even include the tools used for pruning and shaping these plants as these types of plants need special care as against other trees.
