Stepping Stones Framing was established in 1990 while I was still studying Fine Art at the then Natal Technikon. At the time I began by framing artworks for friends on my dining table.I then went on to study lithography at the Tamarind Institute in the USA, setting up STEPPING STONE PRESS on my return to South Africa.Over the years Stepping Stone Framers established itself in specializing in archival museum standard framing, using only the best quality materials available to us, as well as the best techniques for good framing practice.Launching Stepping Stone Mirrors was the next step in my journey, specializing in custom-made hardwood framed mirrors and antique mirror production for the décor industry.Bringing it all together, STEPPING STONE STUDIOS became the umbrella name.
