In 1994 they opened The Old Corkscrew in Franschhoek, a picturesque town which is nestled in the Winelands of the Western Cape. Now known as the gourmet capital of South Africa, it is a firm favourite for those visitors to the Cape who expect nothing but the best. A comfortable fifty minute drive from Cape Town allows one to enjoy lunch or dinner on one of the many award winning wine farms or the magnificent restaurants in the town itself. This coupled with a visit to The Old Corkscrew has become a highlight for many of our local and international visitors. Due to its location in this wine producing area, many wine related antiques can be found, including Africas largest collection of antique corkscrews.
