The Company was formed in 1966 as King and Sons Dunn & co. Travel. The company changed names to Ellerman King Travel in 1970. In 1976 the agency was solely owned by King and Sons and became part of the Grindrod Group - the name was therefore changed to Grindrod King Travel. In March 1993 the company acquired a larger agency with a stronger brand - Jet International. In 2006 the decision was taken to change the name to Grindrod Travel to align with the Grindrod Group's brand marketing strategy. Grindrod Travel has continued to develop the brand and have enhanced our reputation as a leader among Corporate Travel Management Companies in South Africa.
