Hidro-Tech was founded by Rudolf Viljoen in the Free State Province in 1986. Initially, the focus of the company was to provide pumping solutions to the Free State mining customers, although a number of mechanical and electrical pumping installations were also undertaken.By 1989, Hidro-Tech Sales and Projects was well established, focussing on sales of pumps as well as contracting, concentrating on water and wastewater pumping stations and pipeline installations.The company relocated to the Western Cape in 1993, opening a branch office in Bellville. The Cape Town branch concentrated on sales, with a couple of minor mechanical and electrical contracts being completed.We are accredited by Grundfos to do repairs on their equipment as per Grundfos specifications, but we repair various other pump makes as well.
