Friends of the National Zoo are a group of friends with the love animals and nature. Friends of the National Zoo has a passion to teach young and old about animals and plant life. Friends of the National Zoo enjoys nature and would love to leave it for future generations. You can also become a friend of the Zoo, and help conserve wildlife through conservation. Friends of the National Zoo has a monthly Fun Walk for the young and old, the Fun Walk is approximately 5km long and lets you walk amongst the animals in the Zoo. At the end of the Fun Walk, you receive a medal - food and drinks are also available at the endpoint. Once the Fun Walk is finished you are more than welcome to enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure in the Zoo. There are multiple fun activities to keep the kids busy and many interesting animals.
