Helens Cakes is a little coffee shop and bakery in Craighall. It was established 12 years ago and now supplies baked goods daily to nearly 50 coffee shops and restaurants in Northern Johannesburg. Since blossoming onto the South African market over 20 years ago Helens Cakes has grown to be one of the largest bakers of cakes in South Africa and become an institution for those who have experienced its tastes. Today it comprises of three separate bakeries: the first for up-market cakes for clients such as The Patisserie and Tashas; the second specialises in wedding cakes, birthday cakes and various other stunning novelty cakes; and the third bakery, the one that sets it apart from competitors, bakes speciality breads and cakes specifically for restaurants and corporate clients.
