Established in 1993, Ocean View was one of the first Montessori Schools in Durban.  We are situated in a lovely old home with spacious, shady gardens in the quiet suburb of Durban North, easily accessible from Umhlanga in the north and Morningside and the Berea to the South. Over the years we have continued to evolve in order to cater for needs in our community, yet remained true to our vision. Our teaching staff and pupils represent the rich cultural diversity of South Africa. Co-Principals Lucy Cronje and Rose Lowry have a commitment to ongoing training and staff development, which is core to the success of the service we provide. Ocean View is registered with the Department of Social Welfare and registration with the Education Department is pending.  We are founding members of The South African Montessori Association.
