Metaltech Steel Heat Treatment Engineering Solutions run by Mr. Clifford `Barney Pillay (National Higher Diploma in Metallurgy) is situated in the industrial area of Pinetown, 20 km from Durban in the region of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.Our workshop is divided into two factories. Our machinery consists of one pre heat furnace, one carburizing and nitriding furnace , oil and polymer quench tanks. Besides this machinery that can be found in most of the heat treatment companies there is a unique technique only found at Metaltech, called mobile heat treatment. The mobile heat treatment uses two types of heating elements controlled by a mains unit (control panel), programmable set point recorder(PSR) & a time/temperature graph.In addition to the heat treatment equipment there is a cleaning line of 11 baths for treated components. These baths contain various chemicals solutions for every step of the cleaning & passivating procedure. The company uses two high pressure cleaning devices, a fork lift and
