AFRICAN METER READING (Pty Ltd) was established in July 1997 as a Black empowerment company. The company Managing Director: Khurishi Mphahlele. AMR specialises in Meter reading services and credit control measurement using modern electronic data capturing devices. We won our first meter reading Tender from the Greater Johannesburg Metro on the 1st April 1998, and since then our company has been in the meter reading service business and our growth has been more than 40% per annum. Our company won the best meter reading company of the year award for 2005 from City Power -Johannesburg. We have however through the Private Public Partnership programme adopted by Government decided to diversify our business services in order to offer the public sector a wide range of services products which will provide a vehicle to assist and ensure that the public sector, especially municipalities continue to render effective and efficient services to their customers.
