A dream is fulfilling the day when Bambi was registered as an education institution at the Transvaal Education Department (TOD) in 1961 - the first nursery school in the area now known as Centurion.Me. Charlotte Griesel (no Van Rensburg) founded the community nursery school in collaboration with some parents. With fundraising projects, donations from parents and businesses in the community, the school was built.The school's name is derived from the popular kid of Walt Disney Fame, Bambi. The copper Bambi emblem, which still stands at the entrance hall, proudly announced the school's name. It was designed and donated by the artist Herman Bakker.The school expanded quickly and there was also a need for a second school in Wierdapark. The parents jumped back to raise enough funds and in January 1977 Bambi Wierdapark opened its doors. The two schools consisted under the auspices of the Centurion Nursery School Association. In November 2013 the two schools' paths separated. Bambi Lyttelton is now known as Bamb
