Already in 1925 a commission led by JA Friis began an action for the establishment of a high school in the Moot However the former Department of Education was not inclined to build an Afrikaans high school In 1928 the MEC for education Mr Michael Brink, made a promise of a new Afrikaans high school Until 1943 the case was cut on the ice. A new Afrikaans high school was not on the agenda of the Department of Education Mr Michael Brink once again undertook to investigate the matter On 14 June 1944 a site was recommended and approved on 13 February 1946 This site was the wellknown southern boundary of the Magaliesberg, east of Voortrekkersweg In November 1946 the first soot was by Mr Michael Brink excited Mr J Dey was the architect Mr JD Verhoewe the contractor and Mr C. Morgan Chairman of the Action Committee Eventually after many years the first Afrikaans High School in the Moot rises under the name of Michael Brink Hoër A year later on June 10 1950 the Transvaal Administrator announced The school is now know
