CHURCHES, RELIGIONS, BIBLE CHURCH, CHRISTIANS, PLACE OF WORSHIP
A church is a building or place where the congregation meet to worship and praise their Lord and do other religious activities. Christians worship God through Jesus Christ by singing praises, praying and reading the bible. They do all these things in the church. A church is also used to host a number of activities such as Christmas parties (church versions), Easter celebrations and weddings. Some church yards have pools outside for baptism purposes.
Church organisations are led by ministers, pastors, deacons and evangelists. They go for training and are ordained after completing their pastoral studies. They offer counselling for engaged couples to be married and married couples on self-conduct and life issues. Pastors may delegate counselling duties to deacons and youth mentors. Like magistrates, ordained pastors from recognised churches are able to perform wedding ceremonies too. In churches there are bible study classes whereby people are able to share their understanding of the scriptures and relate them to our everyday living.
Various activities like sports and singing competitions take place at churches helping the youth stay out of criminal activities. Educational classes are also available to educate youngsters on good personal conduct in the church and society. There are fundraising activities as well bazaars, fetes and cake sales which bring in much needed funds for the church..
